Camshaft set suitable for 1.8 NB VVT. The camshaft set is intended for engines that are to be equipped with an individual throttle body system and standalone ECU. The camshaft set includes a set of camshafts, 16 mechanical cam followers, 16 lash caps, and 16 valve springs. The additional components must be installed so that the camshafts can function properly. Rough idling may occur. This camshaft set is part of the complete engine 1.8 NB VVT naturally aspirated stage 3 and the engine parts package 1.8 NB VVT naturally aspirated stage 3. There is a possibility of the camshafts touching the cylinder head during rotation. Before the final installation, it is essential to check that the camshaft has a clearance of at least 0.6mm to the cylinder head at every point. Otherwise severe damage to the camshaft and the cylinder head can occur.

 

In order to keep the price attractive, we work with reground camshafts. Accordingly, we need your original camshafts back.

 

Basic camshaft diameter is 33mm.

JASS Performance crankshaft locking tool MX-5 NA/NB/NBFL
JASS Performance crankshaft lock / fixing tool for loosening the crankshaft pulley. When loosening the central screw of the crankshaft, the problem is often that the screw cannot be loosened. This fixing tool can be used to secure the crankshaft against twisting and to loosen the screw. The surface is powder coated red. Note that this does NOT fit the very early NA 1.6 models made in 1989-90, which have 4 slots in the front of the outer crankshaft. It fits all later models where the outer pulley is screwed to the pulley with 4 x 10mm cap screws.

JASS Performance camshaft lock / fixing tool suitable for MX-5 NA / NB / NBFL. Handy and important tool, when the next timing belt changes are due. The tool locks the two camshafts steady in position and allows stressless work on the gears or belts. The two ends of the tools are made to fit the two camshaft nuts in the early and later engines, so it works for MX5/Miata/Eunos Roadster 1.6 and 1.8 Engines in the MK1, MK2 and MK2.5 cars. If the one end of the tool does not correspond to your camshaft, please turn it 180 degrees and use the other end. It will be the correct one. Please note, the tool is made of hardened steel and tested to be capable of holding the camshafts to cracking loose the cam gear bolts. Please note, the tool is not dimensioned to be used as spanner to turn the cams. Important note: Please be aware, there are cheap direct copies of this product, we developed from scratch. They are not hardened, but even if so, hardening below the correct rate causes the tool to bend (at this thickness) or hardening above - to crack at regular use.
