The differentials in Mazda MX-5 models from 1994–2005 feature factory cut-outs designed as failure points in case of a rear-end collision. In motorsport use or in cars with increased power, however, these cut-outs often lead to differential housing failure.
The SkidNation Differential Brace Kit fits tightly into the existing casting cavity and significantly strengthens the differential arm. This makes your diff much more stable and resistant – whether on the street or in competition.

Installation Notes
- Differential must be removed for installation
- For bolt-in installation, 4 holes must be drilled into the differential
- For welding installation: remove the rear aluminum case before welding, then reassemble afterwards
- Bolt holes are pre-drilled but not through-drilled – drilling through is only required for bolt-in installation
- For welding, drill a small vent hole to allow hot gases to escape during the process
