Hood Vents for the MX-5
Our hood vents are designed to efficiently extract hot air from the engine bay, helping to reduce engine temperatures. Especially on hot days or during track use, a significant amount of heat can build up inside the engine bay. When combined with our air duct system, these hood vents optimize airflow and improve cooling performance.
By reducing the pressure inside the engine bay, airflow through the radiator is increased, resulting in more efficient cooling.
The two-piece vent is installed on the driver's side of the hood. Installation requires cutting openings in the hood to allow hot air to escape efficiently, reducing engine bay pressure and improving airflow.
A key advantage is that no structural reinforcement braces need to be cut or removed during installation, allowing the hood to retain its original rigidity and strength.
Naturally, these hood vents are fully compatible with all of our conversion kits. The vents were designed and engineered by SPS Motorsport and are manufactured using high-precision 3D printing to ensure an excellent fit and finish.
