Makrolon side window for passenger side of the MX-5 ND from Plastics 4 Performance. The kit offers enormous weight savings compared to the original glass windows. Ventilation can be created using the slider shown, since the side window is rigidly mounted and cannot be lowered using a window regulator. We ourselves use these Makrolon windows in some of our racing cars, where they impressed us with their breaking strength and their low weight. Makrolon windows scratch, for example, if the treatment is too rough during washing. So be careful here. We recommend a very fine microfiber cloth for washing Makrolon windows, which should not be pressed on too hard when washing. Never wipe dry over the window. This can lead to fine scratches that tarnish the window.

The side windows shown in the pictures are the complete version including slider, which are not directly part of this article, but can also be selected above.

The Makrolon windows can be TÜV-approved in our house and are therefore approved for road traffic.

Slider window driver side Makrolon

Driver's side slider window for Makrolon windows. The slider allows ventilation of the otherwise rigid Makrolon windows. In addition, documents can be handed over here, for example, during vehicle acceptance at racing events. The slider enables an opening of 180x195mm. The overall dimensions of the slider are 450x230mm. We use these sliders on some of our MX-5 racing cars where they have proven very useful.
