Performance parts package 1.8 NA SG178

This performance package was developed by SPS Motorsport on the racetrack, adapted for street use, and continuously refined. All components are engineered in-house and used in our own race cars — delivering maximum efficiency, uncompromising quality, and a clean, OEM-like engine bay appearance.

Two Options – Parts Package or Full Installation

You can choose between two configurations:

• Parts Package (without installation): You receive all components for self-installation. ECU tuning, dyno protocol, and TÜV registration are not included.
• Full Installation (with tuning & registration): All components are professionally installed at SPS Motorsport. The ECU is then individually calibrated on our in-house dyno and on the road — including dyno protocol. Finally, the entire conversion is inspected and officially registered at our facility. Registration is included in the price.

Included services with full installation:

• Installation of the Jenvey individual throttle body kit
• Installation of the SPS header kit
• Installation of the standalone ECU incl. wideband lambda sensor and 52 mm gauge
• Installation of camshafts and adjustable cam gears
• Installation of the SPS oil cooler kit
• Installation and bleeding of the half-size radiator
• Oil change to Motalin 5W-50 HP Sport incl. new oil filter
• Adjustment of camshaft timing
• ECU calibration on dyno and road
• Dyno run incl. performance protocol
• TÜV registration at SPS Motorsport

Power Increase – Up to 178 HP

This setup pushes the naturally aspirated 1.8 engine to its limits. The combination of individual throttle bodies, standalone ECU, header, and camshafts delivers razor-sharp throttle response, high-revving power, and a motorsport-grade sound — uncompromisingly dynamic and fully road-ready.

Exhaust System Requirement

⚠️ Full power is only achieved when paired with an exhaust system featuring a minimum pipe diameter of 55 mm. We recommend our Group A exhaust system, which can be added as an accessory during checkout. Without it, the full performance potential will not be reached.
