This performance package was developed by SPS
Motorsport on the racetrack, adapted for street use, and continuously refined.
All components are engineered in-house and used in our own race cars —
delivering maximum performance, uncompromising quality, and a clean, OEM-like
engine bay appearance.
Two Options – Parts Package or Full Installation
You can choose between two configurations:
Parts Package (without installation): Receive all components for self-installation.
ECU tuning, dyno protocol, and TÜV registration are not included.
Full Installation (with tuning &
registration): All components
are professionally installed at SPS Motorsport. The ECU is then
individually calibrated on our in-house dyno and on the road — including a
dyno protocol. Finally, the entire conversion is inspected and officially
registered at our facility.
Power Upgrade to 156 HP
In Stage 1, we install our SPS header kit for the MX-5
NC 1.8. The optimized exhaust flow combined with precise ECU tuning results in
a noticeable increase in performance and sharper throttle response.
Note: Full power output is only achieved when paired with
an exhaust system featuring a minimum pipe diameter of 55 mm. We recommend our
Group A exhaust system, which can be added as an accessory during checkout.
Without it, the 156 HP target will not be reached.

built to be upgradeable — whether you're aiming for a lightweight NA setup,
individual throttle bodies, or a turbo conversion. We use only proven
components that have earned their place on the racetrack. Engine bay aesthetics
remain clean and close to OEM.
Upgradeable & Modular
Our packages are modular and future-proof. If you
decide to upgrade later, we’ll provide the necessary support and guidance to
expand your setup.

adjusted to ensure optimal power delivery and high-revving response.

an exhaust system featuring a minimum pipe diameter of 55 mm. We recommend our
Group A exhaust system, which can be added as an accessory during checkout.
Without it, the 175 HP target will not be reached.

In Stage 1, we install our SPS turbo kit for the MX-5
NC along with a high-flow sports catalytic converter. To manage thermal load,
we add an upgraded water radiator and our oil cooler kit. For reliable power
delivery, a reinforced clutch is installed. The package also includes a full
oil change to Motalin 10W-60 HP Racing with a new filter.
Note: Full power output is only achieved when paired with
an exhaust system featuring a minimum pipe diameter of 55 mm. We recommend our
Group A exhaust system, which can be added as an accessory during checkout.
Without it, the 230 HP target will not be reached.

Power Upgrade to 300 HP (Track Mode)
Stage 2 features our GBC20-300 turbo kit mounted to a
freshly built turbo engine. The block is bored and honed, fitted with forged
pistons, upgraded rods, and reinforced bearings. The cylinder head is fully
reworked with new seals and precision-lapped valves.
Additional upgrades include:

Note: The car is registered and delivered with 225 HP. Full
300 HP is unlocked via a switch and is track-only. Use on public roads
is not permitted.
Important: Full power is only achieved with an exhaust system
featuring at least 55 mm pipe diameter. We recommend our Group A exhaust
system. Without it, the 300 HP target will not be reached.
Transmission Recommendation
We strongly recommend upgrading to the MX-5 NC 6-speed
transmission for this package. The stock 5-speed gearbox is not designed for
