With the SPS Engine Configurator, you can assemble your engine exactly the way you want it! For the first time, it is also possible to order fully assembled individual engine blocks and individual cylinder heads directly from us — delivered ready for installation in your engine at home. Of course, we continue to offer our complete engines as parts packages for those who want to build their engines themselves using our components.
In this section dedicated to supercharger engine builds, you can configure your dream engine for use with either the OEM intake system or an upgrade intake system. Here you can choose between two fundamental build concepts that are requested most frequently:
Budget
The cost-effective option for building your engine for higher power output. The focus of these packages is affordability, while still using extremely high-quality components that meet our strict quality standards. This setup can be used without issues together with the OEM intake system.
Performance
The ideal middle ground for a weekend track tool that still remains usable for occasional weekday drives. Perfect for those who are not building a pure track car but still want a significant increase in power. An individual throttle body setup is recommended here.

Engine
Here you can select from all available base engines. Simply choose the engine installed in your vehicle or the one you plan to install.
Cylinder Head
As mentioned above, you can choose between the two build concepts:
Budget Variant
In the Budget version, the cylinder head is refurbished, resealed,
and equipped with new intake valves. New intake valves are strongly
recommended, as they are prone to hammering into the seat on forced-induction
engines, which eventually prevents proper sealing.
For increased cylinder filling, our Stage 2 camshafts with uprated
valve springs are installed. You also receive adjustable cam gears
to allow precise camshaft timing.

Mazda camshaft oil seals, Aftermarket valve stem seals, Mazda thermostat gaskets, Mazda thermostat housing O-ring at the cylinder head, (NA Mazda O-ring for cam angle sensor / CAS), SPS Stage 2 camshaft set, SPS adjustable cam gears, Reroute kit
Performance Variant
In the Performance version, our Stage 3 camshafts with even stiffer valve springs are used to generate additional power.

Mazda camshaft oil seals, Aftermarket valve stem seals, Mazda thermostat gaskets, Mazda thermostat housing O-ring at the cylinder head, (NA Mazda O-ring for cam angle sensor / CAS), SPS Stage 3 camshaft set, SPS adjustable cam gears, Reroute kit
Additionally, you have the option to omit the cylinder head entirely if you only need a new short block and intend to reuse your existing cylinder head.

Cylinder Block
Here as well, you can choose between our two fundamental build concepts:
Budget Variant
In the Budget version, you receive new Wössner forged pistons. Additionally, the engine is fitted with new ACL Race Series bearings. A Fluidampr crankshaft damper is also installed. The correct Mazda water pump for your engine, along with all required gaskets, is included in the package.

Performance Variant
The Performance cylinder block prepares your engine perfectly for operating under very high boost pressures. By using SPS billet main caps, ARP main studs, and the Boundary Stage 2 oil pump, your engine withstands significantly higher boost levels with improved stability.

Wössner piston kit, SPS connecting rod set, ACL Race main and rod bearings, Fluidampr harmonic damper, SkidNation baffle plate (oil control plate), Mazda water pump, Boundary Stage 2 oil pump, Mazda thrust bearings, Alignment dowels between block and head, Mazda oil pan gaskets, Mazda crankshaft oil seals, Mazda oil pickup gasket, Additional small hardware and seals
You can also completely deselect the cylinder block option if you only want a cylinder head or the components needed to assemble a cylinder head.

Assembly
Finally, you can choose between receiving a parts package or a fully
assembled configuration from us.
With the option “without assembly,” you receive all components required
to assemble the engine yourself.
With the option “with assembly,” you receive your fully assembled cylinder
head, short block, or even a complete engine delivered to your door.
If you order both block and head without assembly, you will also receive a completion kit for final engine assembly. This kit includes all necessary components such as:
Cylinder head gasket, Valve cover gasket, Timing belt kit / timing chain kit, Timing belt covers (NA to NBFL), Intake manifold gasket, Exhaust manifold gasket, Spark plugs, Accessory belts (V-belt / serpentine belt), Thermostat, Additional seals and gaskets
For the assembled variant, the base components (cylinder block,
cylinder head, or complete engine) are treated as exchange units for
your original parts. This means you must send us your corresponding components
after you have removed them from your vehicle.
Alternatively, you may send in your components upfront to serve as the basis
for our work.
