This gasket can be used with the following Racing Beat exhaust components:

Non-turbo Down-Pipe
1986-92 RX-7 (Front & Rear) - This gasket can be used at the front (1 each required) and rear (1 each required) positions of the Racing Beat Down Pipe (Part No. S16206, S16209). These down pipes are included in Racing Beat's Down Pipe & Presilencer kits (Part No. 16206, 16208, 16209).

Turbo Down-Pipe
1987-91 RX-7 - This gasket can be used at the rear (1 each required) of the Racing Beat Down Pipe (Part No. S16207). This down pipe is included in Racing Beat's Down Pipe & Presilencer kit (Part No. 16207).

Presilencer
86-92 RX-7 (all models) - This gasket can be used on the front (1 each required) and rear (1 each required) of Racing Beat's Presilencer for all 1986-92 RX-7s (Part No. 16405, 16406, 16407).

Racing Beat - Down Pipe / Presilencer Kit 88 RX-7 Conv NT Manual
Down Pipe with Presilencer - 1988 RX-7 Convertible Non-Turbo (w/Manual Transmission) - The 1986-92 13B 6-port engines, in stock form with the factory fuel injection, produces similar power gains with either our Header/Presilencer combo or our RX-7 Down Pipe/Presilencer combination. If you have no intentions of installing our Holley intake System (or any other aftermarket carb set-up), we recommend the use of the down pipe/Presilencer combo since it offers a slightly quieter exhaust note, is easier to install and less costly. If you are intending to upgrade the intake or fuel injection system, the Header/Presilencer combo offers the greatest performance potential. The 1988 RX-7 Convertible (w/ Manual Transmission) Down Pipe/Presilencer combination incorporates a 2.5-inch O.D. Down Pipe and our perforated stainless steel core and stainless steel wool-packed Presilencer to boost power approximately 13% - an 18 horsepower increase on a 1987 RX 7- and maintain a comfortable exhaust noise level during full power driving. The replacement pipe connects to the factory exhaust manifold, and the presilencer connects to the factory Y-pipe, replacing all catalytic converters and intermediate tubing. (The downpipe cannot be used as a "bolt-up" component to replace just the catalytic converters.) The Racing Beat presilencer is equipped with an exhaust back-pressure tube for correct operation of the 6-port actuators. Installation of this requires the removal of the air control and check valve and the air pump. This kit includes all necessary mounting hardware, air control & check valve cover plate, and gaskets (1 Back Pressure Pick-up and 3 Replacement Pipe-to-Presilencer gaskets). If the exhaust manifold outlet or Y-pipe gaskets are needed, refer to the "Exhaust Gaskets" section of the site for suitable replacements. We also offer the Down Pipe separately for those building custom exhaust systems. Replacement Rubber Exhaust Hangers It is our experience that the stock rubber hangers that support the exhaust system can deteriorate and crack with age. We suggest the replacement of these hangers when installing replacement exhaust components.

Racing Beat - Down Pipe 87-91 RX-7 TURBO II
This Race Down Pipe is available for 1987-91 RX-7 TURBO II applications. This 2.5-inch OD mild steel down pipe fits either manual or automatic transmission equipped cars and eliminates the catalytic converter section. This pipe utilizes laser cut flanges and heavy-walled .120"  tubing for improved sound suppression. This race down pipe bolts to the stock exhaust manifold, but the use of our presilencer (or a suitable replacement) is required to connect this assembly to the Y-pipe section. If you need to retain a catalytic converter in your exhaust system, you may find a suitable unit offered in the aftermarket. Gaskets sold separately.

Racing Beat Race Down Pipe / Presilencer Kit 86-88 RX-7 NT Auto
Race Downpipe with Presilencer - 1986-88 RX-7 Coupe Non-Turbo (with Automatic Transmission) - Stock 1986-92 13B 6-Port engines with factory fuel injection will see similar horsepower gains with the header and muffler combination or the Racingbeat RX-7 downpipe/muffler combination. Without installing a Holley intake (or other aftermarket carburetor configuration), we recommend using the downpipe and muffler combination as it produces a slightly quieter exhaust note, is easier to install, and is less expensive. When upgrading the intake or fuel injection system, the header and muffler combination offers the greatest horsepower potential. The downpipe and muffler combination includes a 2.5" outside diameter. Downpipe and a perforated stainless steel core and stainless steel wool filled pre-muffler increase power by approximately 13% - an 18 hp increase on a 1987 RX 7 - while maintaining a pleasant exhaust noise level during wide open throttle driving. The RX-7's replacement downpipe connects to the factory exhaust manifold and the pre-muffler connects to the factory Y-pipe, replacing all catalysts and intermediate pipes. It is not possible to use just the downpipe to replace just the catalysts. Use of the pre-muffler is required to make the connection to the Y-pipe. Although a short piece of pipe can be used in place of the pre-muffler, we do not offer (nor recommend) this due to the unacceptable increase in exhaust noise. The RX-7's pre-muffler is equipped with an exhaust back pressure pipe for proper operation of the 6-port actuators. Installation requires the removal of the air control and check valve as well as the air pump. This kit includes all necessary mounting hardware, air control and check valve cover plates and gaskets (1 back pressure sensor and 3 replacement pipe to pre-silencer gaskets). If gaskets are required for the exhaust manifold outlet or Y-pipe, suitable replacement parts can be found in the exhaust gaskets section of the website. For those building custom exhaust systems, we also offer the downpipe separately. Replacement Rubber Exhaust Hangers In our experience, the stock rubber hangers that support the exhaust system can wear and crack over time. We recommend replacing these hangers when fitting replacement exhaust components. If required, we supply the Mazda replacement rubber hanger for use with your pre-silencer unit.

The Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer for the 1986-88 RX-7 Non-turbo (w/manual transmission) is designed to be used with our wide selection of RX-7 headers to complete a bolt-on configuration to the Y-pipe section. This same Power Pulse Presilencer is included as a sub-component with the Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe/Presilencer assemblies we offer for all 1986-88 RX-7s. Furthermore, these Power Pulse Presilencers are ideal for those individuals wanting to fabricate custom exhaust systems incorporating either long or short primaries. The Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer improves the character of the exhaust noise, dramatically reducing the inherent, obnoxious metallic high frequency noise with virtually no power loss. Constructed using a stainless-steel shell, interior core tube, and high temperature stainless packing wool, the Power Pulse Presilencer measures 20-inches in length with a 4-inch outside diameter. Each end is fitted with 12mm studs. The attachment hanger shown will allow correct fitment onto the exact application listed.
