The Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer for the 1987-91 RX-7 TURBO II is designed to be used with our wide selection of RX-7 headers to complete a bolt-on configuration to the Y-pipe section.

This same Power Pulse Presilencer is included as a sub-component with the Downpipe/Presilencer Assembly we offer for the TURBO II. Furthermore, these Power Pulse Presilencers are ideal for those individuals wanting to fabricate custom exhaust systems incorporating either long or short primaries.

The Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer improves the character of the exhaust noise, dramatically reducing the inherent, obnoxious metallic high frequency noise with virtually no power loss. Constructed using a stainless-steel shell, interior core tube, and high temperature stainless packing wool, the Power Pulse Presilencer measures 20-inches in length with a 4-inch outside diameter. Each end is fitted with 12mm studs. The hanger provided will allow correct fitment onto the application listed.

The TURBO II Power Pulse Presilencers are manufactured with a large diameter 2.5-inch I.D. core pipe for improved exhaust gas flow. br>
Gaskets are not included but are available separately. Two required.

Replacement Rubber Exhaust Hangers

It is our experience that the stock rubber hangers that support the exhaust system can deteriorate and crack with age. We suggest the replacement of these hangers when installing replacement exhaust components

This gasket can be used with the following Racing Beat exhaust components: Non-turbo Down-Pipe1986-92 RX-7 (Front & Rear) - This gasket can be used at the front (1 each required) and rear (1 each required) positions of the Racing Beat Down Pipe (Part No. S16206, S16209). These down pipes are included in Racing Beat's Down Pipe & Presilencer kits (Part No. 16206, 16208, 16209). Turbo Down-Pipe1987-91 RX-7 - This gasket can be used at the rear (1 each required) of the Racing Beat Down Pipe (Part No. S16207). This down pipe is included in Racing Beat's Down Pipe & Presilencer kit (Part No. 16207). Presilencer86-92 RX-7 (all models) - This gasket can be used on the front (1 each required) and rear (1 each required) of Racing Beat's Presilencer for all 1986-92 RX-7s (Part No. 16405, 16406, 16407).

Replacement Hanger D Presilencer/Cat Converter

1986-92 RX-7 Exhaust System Replacement Rubber Hangers (Sold and priced as individual units.) - Tired, old rubber hangers may be the source of potential trouble for the exhaust system on your RX-7! We have found that with age the rubber hangers that support the exhaust components can deteriorate, crack and fail. This results in "sagging" exhaust components and possible misalignment of the muffler tips in the bumper opening. For 1986-92 RX-7 owners we offer replacement hangers for ALL models. Replacement Hanger D - Application Guide 1986-92 RX-7 Catalytic Converter/Presilencer (Except 1991-92 Auto transmission models*)This OEM style hanger is a direct replacement for the hanger located on the cat converter/presilencer. 1. One (1) rubber hanger per muffler is required for the presilencer. *Note: 1991-92 automatic transmission cars require a different hanger that can be special ordered through Racing Beat, or obtained through your local Mazda dealer.

Racing Beat Turbo Down Pipe / Presilencer Kit 87-91 RX-7 TURBO II

The 1987-91 RX-7 TURBO II Down Pipe/Presilencer combination incorporates a 2.5-inch 0.D. Down Pipe and a perforated stainless steel core and stainless steel wool-packed Power Pulse Presilencer to boost power approximately 14% - a 26 horsepower increase on a 1987 Turbo II RX-7 - and maintain a comfortable exhaust noise level during full power driving. The replacement pipe connects to the turbo outlet flange and eliminates the catalytic converter, while the presilencer connects to the factory y-pipe for a complete bolt-on system. A mounting position for the oxygen sensor is provided in the replacement pipe. The replacement pipe reduces exhaust gas back pressure, resulting in a turbo boost increase of 1-2 psi, without the use of an external boost controller. Our Fuel Cut Controller 87-88 or 87-91 is recommended to prevent fuel cutoff to the rear rotor. This kit contains mounting hardware, a split air cover plate, and gaskets. The turbo outlet gasket is available separately and should be replaced when installing the down pipe.
