Due to the high demand and our experience on the racetrack, we decided to build our own air ducts for the front of the MX-5. The air ducts are used to make the best possible use of the airflow and to flow precisely to the radiator and intercooler. For this purpose, we have scanned the front of the MX-5's 3D in order to produce a perfectly fitting air duct in OEM quality. Then the prototypes were 3D printed and adjusted again on the vehicle and possible errors corrected. So we can finally bring an absolutely flawless product onto the market.

The air duct consists of 2 parts which are made of ABS plastic. In this way, the ducting can be easily adapted to modifications that do not come from our company. The lower part replaces the original front part of the air duct in the bumper and is attached to the original points. The upper part allows the air to flow upwards in order to use the full surface of the radiator.

In our tests, we were able to reduce the water temperature by up to 25 ° C and the intake air temperature (for turbo and supercharger conversions) by up to 15 ° C. The product has been extensively tested in motorsport as well as on the road, which enabled us to improve its functionality even further.

The ducting is suitable for all of our conversions sold by SPS Motorsport. Cutouts for piping for turbo conversions and supercharger conversions can be created through pre-shaped areas in order to be able to operate OEM cars as well as turbo and compressor conversions with one product and to keep all options for conversions open to you. So if a conversion is planned in the future, but you want to reduce your temperatures on the racetrack or while driving sportily on the street, this is your perfect product. For use with power steering there might be modifications necessary.

The matching hood vents can be purchased under "add additional parts" so that the hot air can also be appropriately diverted from the engine compartment.

Hood Vents Driver Side MX-5 NA

These hood vents for the MX-5 NA match our air duct kit. Ideally suited to direct hot ram air out of the engine compartment and thus to keep the engine temperature cool. On hotter days or when used on the racetrack, a lot of hot air builds up in the enginebay. Our air duct in combination with these hood vents is perfect for diverting this. In addition, the internal pressure in the enginebay is reduced in order to achieve better flow through the radiator. The two-piece vent is mounted on the driver's side of the hood. For this purpose, cutouts must be made in the hood in order to achieve a corresponding flow of hot air through the hood and thus lower the pressure in the engine compartment. A stencil is included for easy installation. No reinforcement struts have to be cut out during assembly, which is why the hood retains its rigidity. Of course, the hood vents are compatible with all of our conversions. The development and design of the hood ventilation was done by Wilvern Motorsport. The vents are made of injection molded plastic to ensure an optimal fit. There are also covers for the hood vents available so that water does not enter the engine compartment when the car is parked in the rain or washed. SPS Radiator MX-5 NA

This radiator is suitable for Mazda MX-5 NA. In discreet black, it makes every MX-5 NA engine compartment an absolute eye-catcher. Thanks to the high-flow core, we were able to achieve very good cooling results compared to competing products in our intensive tests, in order to ensure that the engine remains cool even under higher loads. We recommend this radiator for 50% road use and up to 50% race track use. The housings of the radiator are fully welded and not jammed like the original radiator. With original radiators, the clamping points tend to leak. The core size is 62.5x32cm. The thickness of the radiator is 6cm. Of course, the radiator is attached to the original points and can therefore be installed plug and play. The original fan shrouds can also be attached plug and play to the welded threaded pieces. The cooler is compatible with all of our conversions. Summarized, we offer a radiator that is compatible for all conversions from our company and is recommended for all vehicles that are not exclusively driven on the racetrack. SPS Crossflow Radiator MX-5 NA

We finally have our own radiators! This radiator is suitable for Mazda MX-5 NA. In subtle black, it makes every MX-5 NA engine compartment an absolute eye-catcher. In our intensive tests, we were able to achieve very good cooling results compared to competing products thanks to the crossflow net, in order to ensure that the motor remains cool even under higher loads. We recommend this radiator for 20% street use and up to 80% track use on built engines over 350hp. The water boxes of the radiator are fully welded and not jammed like the original radiator. With original radiators, the water boxes tend to leak. The thickness of the water cooler is 7.6 cm and is therefore ideal for high-performance vehicles. Of course, the cooler is attached to the original mounting points and can therefore be plug and play mounted. There may be adjustment work on the original fan. The piping of the radiator lines must also be changed, since the connections on the radiator are offset from the original connections. All in all, we offer a radiator that is recommended for all vehicles that are only used on the racetrack. CAUTION! The installation of our fan shroud kit and fan shroud kits from Mishimoto is not possible because the radiator is much thicker than the original or our standard aluminum radiator. SPS Fan Shroud Kit MX-5 NA

We finally have our own fan shrouds! This fan shroud is suitable for MX-5 NA. Suitable for our own radiators as well as for the Mishimoto radiators and OEM radiators. The fan shroud is equipped with two 80 watt 29.5cm fans, which are then attached to the cooler in suction direction. Of course, the fan shroud can be combined with all of our in-house conversions. The fan shroud is recommended for street use and up to 10% track use. These fan shrouds are rather unsuitable for pure racetrack use, as the increased air mass at high speed creates a dynamic pressure that the fans may not be able to dissipate. For fast road passages as well as track days or tourist trackdays, however, absolutely perfect, as the hot air of the entire cooling surface can be diverted when the vehicle is stationary.
