You like carburetors, you love DTM cars from the 90's. Then that's just the right product.
From the racetrack to the road, the ultimate performance upgrade for your Mazda MX-5 from the natural aspirated section. In 2014 we developed a ITB system for the Mazda MX5 NA, NB and NBFL with Jenvey from England.
We recommend such a system as a "Last Step". The following modifications should already be carried out or they should be rebuilt in the same step:
- Camshafts

- Exhaust System including SPS Exhaust Manifold Kit

The resulting additional power depends on the already installed or combined products. With the already linked products, a power of 160 hp is possible.
We are happy to put together the right package for your 1.8 liter.
The kit comes complete including matching basemap. The kit does not fit for vehicles with air conditioning.

Engine control unit
We recommend an MS3 Mini for street use, for a vehicle that is to be moved on the race track we recommend a Basic MS3. Aftermarket immobilizers can still be used.

TÜV registration
CAUTION! The ITB-Kit can only be TÜV registered in combination with an our exhaust manifold incl. catalytic converter and an OEM exhaust system or our Group A exhaust system! Combinations with other exhaust systems were not taken into account and may not be possible to register. If in doubt, it is best to contact us directly by email to ensure that the registration is possible.

Camshaft set NB 1.8 naturally aspirated Stage 2

Camshafts suitable for 1.8 NB engines, which are to be operated as naturally aspirated engines. Ideal for engines with individual throttle body system and standalone ECU. The kit contains the camshafts, as well as the matching valve springs. Rough idling may occur. These camshafts are part of the complete engine 1.8 NB naturally aspirated stage 2 and the engine parts package NB 1.8 naturally aspirated stage 2. There is a possibility of the camshafts touching the cylinder head during rotation. Before the final installation, it is essential to check that the camshaft has a clearance of at least 0.6mm to the cylinder head at every point. Otherwise severe damage to the camshaft and the cylinder head can occur. CAUTION! Adjustable camshaft gears are not suitable on this engine, because the engine uses the OEM camshaft gear for rpm pickup. For use of the adjustable camshaft gear we recommend to use our 36-2 crankshaft triggerwheel in combination of a standalone ECU. In order to keep the price attractive, we work with reground camshafts. Accordingly, we need your original camshafts back. SPS Motorsport Group A exhaust system NB / NBFL

The Group A exhaust system from SPS Motorsport replaces the original rear silencer and front silencer. The outer diameter of the pipe guide is usually 63.5mm. The systems are constructed according to the absorption principle, that is, lead sieve tubes through the silencer. Exhaust manifold incl. catalytic converter MX-5 1.8L NB

We finally have our own manifolds! You get a complete manifold kit including catalytic converter suitable for the 1.8L MX-5 NB. The kit can be registered with any TÜV inspector with our appropriate parts certificate. So you get a completely legal solution to give your exhaust system the finishing touch! The parts certificate also covers our exhaust manifold with catalytic converter in combination with the SPS Motorsport Group A exhaust system. A separate test including noise measurement during TÜV registration is required for use with other exhaust systems.
