Inspection parts package put together by SPS Motorsport to fit 2.0 liter MX-5 ND1 with less than 80% street use and more than 20% track use. The packages are designed in such a way that they not only cover the OEM configuration of the vehicle, but also most of the conversions that we sell ourselves and install in our workshop. Thanks to the many possible combinations, there is the right package for pretty much every conversion.
Here is a brief explanation of the options that can be selected:
Transmission:
Here you can select the 6 speed gearbox.
Differential:
Here you have the choice between different differentials, which can be used in the MX-5 ND. In OEM configuration there were only 2.0L ND with Tochigi Fuji differential lock, which needs the same configuration as the torsen differential lock.
Aspiration:
Here the "natural aspirated" option represents the absolute OEM condition of the engine. Turbo conversions use the option "Turbocharger". Rotrex drivers can also use the "Supercharger" option.
Year since Modification:
As with series manufacturers, we have also given some thought to the number of years after which components on the vehicle should be replaced in order to be able to guarantee perfect functioning. The respective years contain the following components:
Year 1:
- Engine oil including filter and sealing ring for the oil drain plug
Year 2:
- Engine oil including filter and sealing ring for the oil drain plug
- Spark plugs (IXEH22TT)
- 1 liter of brake fluid
- Air filter (only for natural aspirated)
- Transmission oil including sealing rings
- Differential oil including sealing rings
- Rotrex oil filter and oil (only for Supercharger)
Year 3:
- Engine oil including filter and sealing ring for the drain plug
Year 4:
- Engine oil including filter and sealing ring for the oil drain plug
- Spark plugs (IXEH22TT)
- 1 liter of brake fluid
- Air filter (only for natural aspirated)
- 3 liter engine coolant
- Transmission oil including sealing rings
- Differential oil including sealing rings
- Rotrex oil filter and oil (only for Supercharger)
For filters (except Rotrex filters), Sealing rings and seals, we always work with Mazda original parts. When it comes to oils (unless another brand is included), we work with Motalin, who put together exactly the oils that we need for the vehicles.
In addition, the oils in the engine, transmission and differential change depending on how the vehicle is used, the type of aspiration and the installed differential. Here we have broken down as follows:
Engine:
- Natural aspirated: street use 5W-50, track use 10W-60
- Turbo: street use 10W-60, track use 10W-60
- Supercharger: street use: 10W-60, track use 10W-60
Transmission:
- Street use 6 speed: 75W-90
- Track use 6 speed: 85W-140
Differential Street use:
- Lamella lock: 80W-90 LS
- Open differential: 75W-90
- Torsen lock: 75W-90
Differential track use:
- Lamella lock: 85W-140 LS
- Open differential: 85W-140
- Torsen lock: 85W140
