Cometic MLS head gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel and contain load-controlled embossing that matches the load distribution throughout the sealing area. This results in an exceptional seal because less clamping force is required, resulting in less bore distortion. The stainless steel outer layers are FKM (Viton®) rubber coated, a high temperature resistant and chemical resistant polymer. A cover layer of PTFE supports the federal resistance and increases the cold seal. MLS head gaskets are available for most aftermarket cylinder heads. As with all Cometic MLS head gaskets, no sealants or post torques are required.

We also use Cometic gaskets for our racing cars and the road cars of our employees. In this way, we were able to convince ourselves of the product itself and collect our own experience.
