SPS main bearing caps Set BP

Billet main bearing caps suitable for MX-5 NA/NB/NBFL BP (1.8 liter) engines. The main bearing caps form the lower part of the crankshaft bearing alley and stabilize and guide the crankshaft. These main bearings caps are milled from solid material and are therefore much more stable than the original main bearing caps. At boost pressures over 1.5 bar with over 400HP, the original main bearing caps may develop hairline cracks or even break. To prevent this defect, we use our main bearing caps in all of our Stage 3 turbo engines. An absolute must-have for high-performance forged engines.

For self-installation, the block together with the main bearing caps must be given to a professional engine builder so that he can re-mill and hone the main bearing alley. Please do not install the main bearing caps out of the box. No plug and play assembly possible without an engine builder having adjusted the bearing caps to the engine.
