Coolerworx Short Shifter Pro MX-5 NC 5 Gang

Coolerworx Pro Short Shifter suitable for MX-5 NC 5 speed gearboxes. Together with Coolerworx, we developed this shortshifter to shorten the shifting ways of the MX-5 NC and to position the shift lever comfortably close to the steering wheel. The shortshifter can achieve around 40% shorter shifting paths, which means that shifting operations can be carried out much faster than with the original shift lever. Thanks to the centering spring, the shift lever is perfectly centered after every movement. The shortshifter is simply installed in exchange for the original shift lever, which requires recesses in the center console.
The shifter is delivered in black with a black shift knob. Reverse release via cable from the shift lever. Accidental insertion of the R-gear is impossible. The unlocking of the reverse gear is done by pulling the sliding sleeve on the shift lever. 

Alternatively available with a thermoplastic knob, offering thermoneutral properties in both hot and cold weather.

Will be delivered including an expert opinion. This means that it is not necessary to TÜV registrate the shifter. The expert opinion must then always be carried with the vehicle documents and can be shown in the event of an inspection. Due to the adaptation from motorsport to the road, it can happen that the shifter makes noises when driving. This behavior is harmless and, if installed and adjusted correctly, is not harmful to the transmission.
