Skunk2 Throttle 64mm 1.8L NB / NBFL

The 64mm Throttle Pro Series for the Mazda MX-5 NB / NBFL 1999-2005 is manufactured by Skunk2 in its exclusive, hard-anodized design. The Skunk2 Pro Series 64mm Throttle Body has been designed for use with the OEM intake manifold to increase engine performance and maximize torque by maximizing engine airflow. Skunk2 throttle bodies undergo extensive design and testing to create a case that not only provides more flow, but also maintains smooth driveability and OEM throttle characteristics. Each Pro Series throttle body has been designed with the latest Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, resulting in a unit that exceeds industry standards. The Pro Series throttle valves are also CNC machined from 6061-T6 forged aluminum and hard anodized for a long life using the Skunk2 signature finish. The throttle valves of the Pro series are also compatible with the OEM throttle cables, which simplifies installation. Each Skunk2 Pro Series throttle body also features sealed bearings for smooth operation and ultra-rugged, improved shafts for ultimate durability. All necessary parts and a new throttle body seal are included for easy installation. A larger damper is the key to producing additional power over the entire power range on modified engines with increased airflow requirements. The Skunk2 Pro Series Throttle for the MX-5 has a large 64mm bore. This leads to significant increases in performance over the entire power range with heavily modified vacuum cleaner applications and even more when the engine is charged.
