Transmission Swap Kit MX-5 NC to BMW GS6-37DZ Gearbox

Finally, after a long development period, we can offer you the BMW gearbox conversion in the shop! All you need in addition to this kit is the gearbox itself. The kit is made for a BMW GS6-37DZ gearbox, which was originally installed in the BMW E46 330i.

During construction and development, we made sure that a PPF frame was still installed in the vehicle between the gearbox and the differential. This means that the transmission does not have to be screwed rigidly to the body, which leads to immense vibrations when driving. In addition, the BMW transmission can withstand significantly more power than the original Mazda transmission, which means that the kit is designed for up to 500 hp and 650 Nm.

The kit includes the following components:

• Specially made driveshaft including adapter ring
• Gearbox adapter from Mazda B6/BP engine to BMW GS6-37DZ gearbox (EN AW-6061T6, anodized)
• Flywheel specially made for us (alloy steel, 6.8kg)
• Short shifter with automatic centering
• PPF frame, which fits on BMW gearboxes and Mazda original differential (7.5kg)
• Adapted shift linkage
• LUK clutch kit
• Wilwood clutch master cylinder
• TRW clutch slave cylinder
• Various screws and mounting material

As already mentioned, the gearbox itself is not included in the price. This must be purchased additionally. The kit is designed for the BMW GS6-37DZ gearbox, which can be found in the E46 330i.

 Caution! This gearbox was built in two variants. We chose the N47 gearbox (starter motor has to be on the lower side) for our conversion.
